This is what I believe the Clumber Spaniel, even today, should represent, a strong, fit, vibrant, active dog of good bulk but not excess blubber – a dog slow to mature so his skeleton can truly form quietly and thoroughly to support a well developed muscular system and yield a dog physically fit for many many years.
